You can buy day passes online via https://burlishbikepark.com/shop/ and ride outside of our opening hours UNLESS we have closed the park for official reasons such as poor weather, trail repairs, or any other reason as expressed on our social media and/or signage please do not ride the park.
Can I grab a coffee if I’m not using the bike park?
Yes, the Clubhouse is open to everyone; if you’re passing by and fancy coffee and cake do pop in. We have lots of popular rambling and dog walking routes nearby. You’re welcome to take a break with us.
Can I buy food on site?
Yes, you have to try our famous cakes! The Clubhouse is available during our opening hours and serves both hot and cold drinks and snacks such as paninis, sausage rolls, chips, crisps and chocolate. As well as tea/coffee/hot chocolate and a range of cold drinks
Can I walk the trails with my kids?
The family trail is specifically designed so it can be walked by pedestrians, or ridden, alongside younger riders. There is no pedestrian access within the jump trails but parents can see their children from the benches at the top.
Is it suitable for all ages and abilities?
Yes, from little ones on balance bikes to adults on high end mountain bikes there is something for everyone at Burlish Bike Park. We have beginner trails to advanced trails, all with features at appropriate levels so everyone can get a buzz.
Can I ride my ebike?
Electric mountain bikes that have pedal assist are absolutely permitted. Electric motorbikes/surons that are powered by throttle are NOT permitted at any time! Small electric motorbikes such as Revvis are also not permitted.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome at the clubhouse/toilets and benches. They can also be walked (on a lead) up the first section of the family trail towards neighbouring Burlish Meadows where an accessible kissing gate is provided so you can walk your dogs on Burlish Meadows. Dogs are not welcome on the bike trails.
Can I leave my kids with you?
No. We are more like a skatepark or a pumptrack than a swimming pool with a lifeguard. Although children (usually age 12+) often come with their friends unaccompanied by an adult, it is up to their parents/carers to decide if they are responsibly enough to do this. We are not looking after your children, they ride at their own risk.
Do you do coaching?
Yes, we offer group coaching in the school holidays for children. We also allow coaches to use the site to provide their own coaching. Get in touch with hannah@opentrail.co.uk to find out more.
Where do I park?
We have a 24 space car park provided, it is accessible during our opening hours. There is additional parking at Burlish Top Nature Reserve (2 min ride to our main entrance) and Burlish Meadows Nature Reserve (5 min ride to our main entrance). Please respect our neighbours and do NOT park on residential streets.
Is the Cubhouse (forest school) site open to all?
The Cubhouse area is for children under the age of 7. To book a scheduled session go to https://bookwhen.com/burlishevents . The site is open during bike park hours with basic features to climb, play and balance; great for keeping your little ones entertained but for the full Cubhouse experience we recommend booking a session
Do you do bike repairs?
Officially no, we do have tools on site to help you complete your own repairs, occasionally we have been able to help riders but it not a service that we provide. We do have spares such as inner tubes and quick links available.
